Beauty Bar in Austin tonight
to have friends from home come out and support.
Last night was a great show at Trophy's in Austin. Egshan were ending
their tour last night. They played a great set. Suzy Bravo came out to
the show to support the SA bands that were playing. Only downside was
we didn't get paid. Hopefully tonight will be different. I'll check
the 8 ball later. We met a band from St Louis last night called
Makeshift Gentlemen. They played las night as well. Kinda reminded me
of The Killers. They are on the same show as us tomorrow night at
Elysium.
There is a Blue Star here in Austin. Food was awesome. We also went to
the Draught House. Delrick ordered a beer called The Harry Eyeball. It
was so strong he had to ask Amanda to help him finish it. I just stuck
to what I like. Heffeweissen!

Dallas memories
So we have been featured in the blog www.austinist.com
It's nice article talking about Ledaswan and the Beauty Bar show on Thursday
No Bar of Soap at Bar of Soap
day off off gigging, we arrived at the legendary hole in the wall -
apparently this is where a lot of famous bands got their start like
Butthole Surfers - part Washateria part bar. The most interesting
place by far? Maybe. Funny thing was running into an old music mentor
of mine, from an old organization called girls and guitars back home.
Of all placess after her 4 year hiatus I run into her at bar of soap
in Dallas. She hugs me excited to see me but not so excited that we
are playing at that establishment. I give her one of our CDs and we
exchange information. She says we can play at much better places in
Dallas and that she is going to school to be an entertainment lawyer.
She suggests places for us to play in Dallas. She leaves and calls us
before our gig and tells us to not take any drugs if anyone from that
bar offers, she is concerned about Ledaswan. Itsa sweet gesture, and
I'm looking forward to reconnecting with her as a more established
artist since the girls and guitars day where I honed my songwriting
and performance skills. We have a kick ass show at bar of soap
regardless and so happens that a writer in Dallas catches our show
( he is there to interview a recently traded hockey player there) and
he buys two of our discs and gives me his card. We end up not getting
payed at the end of the night leaves jaime pissed. We go to jack in the box
later that night to get some eggrolls, I usually don't ever eat fast food, but
this road trip is an exception because of our different schedules. The lady at
Jack in the box forgets one of my orders and Delrick is nice enough to give me
his food, he eats fries and eggrolls instead. I think he was just too tired to eat
and he falls asleep right when we get to Amanda's Aunt's house, we bust open
the beer that we had left over from the night before. Stay up talking about touring
again with Manda, David, and Jaime, and how much is going to suck coming home
and going back to our day jobs. We are all having fun at this point and glad that it's
barely Tuesday night, or technically Wednesday morning. We head back to Austin
today for a show at Trophy's in Austin TX.

Rock you Like a Hurricane
We've been in Houston for 2 days and I am so ready to leave. It's a beautiful city, but I just wasn't feeling all that comfortable in this city this time. We played Notsouh last night and was probably one of the weirder shows so far.
The opening act Destroy Nate Allen played just an acoustic guitar and walked and danced around the whole bar singing with his wife joining in on certain parts. Almost like a musical. Very interesting. They dressed like they were part of a musical as well. Overall it was definitely something you don't see everyday..............
They stayed for a couple of our songs and made a loud exit right in the middle of our set. But between songs so it was ok. I hope they had a good trip, they were on their way to New Orleans. We played a mellow set that night as it was a small place that would've made it unbearable loud if we did a regular set. It was a lesson in control and beauty of letting all notes speak to themselves. Erica sounded amazing. We noticed that we had quite a few homeless people in the bar listening to our set and really paying attention.
Notsouh is a quirky place itself. Lots of weird art pieces can be found all over the bar.
Apparently a hurricane was setting its eyes on the Houston area while we were there. Luckily this was the only day we had no show, so we packed up and left to Dallas where we will be playing at Bar of Soap on Tuesday.
We are now in Dallas where it is super fucking hot. Staying with some of Amanda's family.
We are super excited to have the opportunity to actually go on the road and kicks ass at our shows. We've been playing a new song during this tour that we haven't really played anywhere else. It's called "Faulkner" and I will go out on a limb and say it's one our best songs. It's is definitely going to be on the new album.
David has designated himself driver the whole trip. He does a great job. Delrick gets hungry and needs to eat every 2hrs. He worries about his next meal after he eats. There has been one "accident" on this tour. Thankfully nothing too bad. In Laredo during our set, Erica's amp went out. It had done that before so we knew it was the fuse that had burnt out. I had some extra fuses just in case and went to change it between songs. My wrist went too far and touched the burning hot tube. It left a nice big welt as you can see. Thankfully we got it working and Erica was able to continue playing. I grinned and beared the pain throughout the rest of the show that night.

Ledaswan gets mentioned in the Houston Press

Ledaswan at Gary's Spot
Gary will have drink specials for for the amount of time that any girl is dancing on the strip pole. It was interesting to say the least. Everyone there was great and friendly. We were completely beat by the end of the night.
Here are some pictures from Gary's Spot last night:

Tomball, Tx
Lone Road in the Lonestar State
Laredo last night went pretty well. We played well and the audience,
let's just say we sold enough CDs to eat a late night dinner. Which
is in my eyes at least a success. We would like to thank jaimes old
friend from Laredo who went to our show and put us up in a hotel
room. It was so kind of him to do that. And San Antonio's Egshan for
inviting us to join them on their tour. We return from our tour aug.
9th , playing at Lonestar studios on Lonestar Blvd. Hope to see you
there.
Ledaswan meets huge corn
the first date of the show was great. We played Cold Brew last night
with Egshan. People there were getting a little crazy towards last
call. Laredo bars are smoke free. Didn't know that. That means there
were always a lot of people going in and out while you are playing. We
are now in the van on the way Houston area where we will be playing 3
shows in 2 days.
